What we do

Ongoing startup PR programs

Startups win attention by showing up consistently. Our ongoing programs keep your company in the conversation between big announcements.

Media relations

Pitching to the startup, tech, business and trade reporters your buyers and investors read, built on real relationships rather than mass email.

Founder thought leadership

Bylines, commentary on industry news, podcast interviews and executive media training that make your founders credible voices in their category.

Category narrative

Clear positioning that explains why your company matters now, in language reporters, buyers and investors understand.

Awards and speaking

Award entries and speaking proposals that turn early traction into third-party proof.

Video and podcasts

Founder videos, customer stories and podcast production from the same team, so content and PR reinforce each other.

AI search visibility

Coverage that shows up when buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews about your category.

Funding and launch PR

Funding round or launch coming up?

A Seed, Series A or Series B announcement, or a major product launch, is often your best chance at top-tier coverage. We plan it so the news lands well and keeps working long after launch day.

  1. Story and proof

We lock the news hook, the proof points and the spokespeople, and prep your executives for interviews.

  2. Embargoed briefings

We brief the right reporters, podcasts and analysts under embargo, two to four weeks ahead where possible.

  3. Announcement day

Coordinated release, exclusives, social and owned channels, with investors, customers and partners ready to amplify.

  4. Momentum after

Bylines, podcast interviews, awards and follow-on stories that keep the news working for months, not days.

Pangea: building a category leader in enterprise AI security

In nine months, Growth Stack Media secured 130+ PR hits for AI security startup Pangea and established it as an authoritative voice in enterprise AI security. Pangea was named a Fast Company Next Big Things in Tech 2025 honoree and won a SiliconANGLE TechForward 2025 award. In September 2025, CrowdStrike announced it would acquire Pangea, in a deal reported at $260 million.

The brief, set in January 2025, was to make Pangea the market authority in enterprise AI security. We built one category narrative, a bench of executive voices and a steady drumbeat of research, launches and awards. Coverage and interviews included The Register, CSO, IT Brew, TechRadar and NBC Press:Here, plus speaking slots at AI Risk Summit and AI Summit NYC. Pangea was also an InfoWorld Technology of the Year finalist.

“They 'get' AI startups and are fantastic to work with.”

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When should a startup hire a PR agency?

Many startups bring in a PR agency ahead of a funding announcement or major launch, or when they need more credibility with customers and investors. Starting six to eight weeks before a big announcement gives you time to shape the story and brief reporters.

How far ahead should we plan a funding announcement?

Ideally six to eight weeks before the news goes public. That allows time to finalize the story and investor approvals, prepare spokespeople and brief reporters under embargo. Shorter timelines are possible, but they limit your options with top-tier outlets.

What kinds of startups do you work with?

We work with VC-backed tech startups in AI, cybersecurity, DevOps and developer tools, SaaS, fintech and healthtech. Younger companies often focus on founder visibility and a strong funding announcement, while more established startups add customer stories, analyst relations and executive programs.

What results should a startup expect from PR in the first 90 days?

In the first 90 days you should have a sharper narrative, a media and award plan, prepared spokespeople and early coverage or interviews, depending on your news flow. PR builds over time, so the biggest gains usually come from steady activity after the first quarter.

Can you help with a single funding announcement or product launch?

Yes. We plan and run funding and launch announcements, and we can carry the momentum into an ongoing PR program afterward. Talk to us about your timeline.

Do we need a press release for a funding announcement?

Usually yes, but the press release is not the story. Coverage comes from briefing the right reporters in advance with a clear angle on why the round matters. The release then gives the news an official record for search, investors and your own channels.
