Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Growth Stack Media LLC ("Growth Stack Media," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit www.growthstackmedia.com (the "Site"), contact us, book a call with us or otherwise interact with us online. It does not cover Portal Editor (portaleditor.ai), which has its own terms and privacy policy, or information we process on behalf of clients under a services agreement.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form: first and last name, company name, company email, phone number, the services you are interested in and anything you write in your message.
• Scheduling a call: when you book a call through our scheduling tool (Calendly), we receive your name, email address, company, the meeting details you provide and the time you choose.
• Email, phone and LinkedIn: anything you send us when you write to us, call us or message us, including your contact details and the content of your message.
• Podcast guests and event participants: if you appear on the Media Insights Podcast or work with us on content, we may collect your name, title, company, bio, photo, voice and likeness as agreed with you.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, we and our service providers collect certain information through cookies, pixels and similar technologies, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, links clicked, approximate location (city or region) and the date and time of your visit. See our Cookie Policy for details.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, financial account details or health information) through the Site. Please do not send it to us.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• respond to inquiries and schedule and hold calls;
• provide, evaluate and propose our services, and manage client relationships;
• send you information you requested;
• if you opt in to receive them, send occasional marketing emails about our services, podcast or content (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• operate, secure and improve the Site, including preventing spam and abuse;
• understand how visitors use the Site and measure the performance of our marketing and advertising;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. How we share information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share personal information only as follows:

• Service providers that process it on our behalf, such as our website host (Duda), scheduling (Calendly), email and productivity tools, spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA), analytics (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager), and the accessibility widget (UserWay).
• Advertising and analytics partners such as Google, whose tags (including Google Ads conversion and remarketing tags) may collect information about your visit to measure ads and show you our ads on other sites. Under some state laws this may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Section 7 to opt out.
• Embedded content providers such as YouTube, when you play a video embedded on the Site.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal and safety reasons when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Growth Stack Media, our clients or others.
• Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets.
• With your consent or at your direction.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, accessibility preferences, embedded video and advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings and through the options described in our Cookie Policy.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Browsers do not share a common standard for "Do Not Track" signals, so the Site does not respond to them. The Site does not currently respond automatically to Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. You can opt out of advertising-related sharing at any time by contacting us as described in Section 7.

5. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described above. Typically, inquiry and scheduling records are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, and client records for the length of the engagement plus 7 years for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics settings (Google Analytics is set to 14 months). We then delete or de-identify it.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, such as access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your privacy choices and rights

Everyone. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by contacting us at info@growthstackmedia.com. If you have opted in to marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any such email or by contacting us.

California residents. Depending on whether the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together "CCPA"), applies to us, California residents may have the right to:

• know what personal information we collect, use, disclose and share, and request a copy of it;
• request correction of inaccurate personal information;
• request deletion of personal information;
• opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising;
• limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use it for purposes that require this right); and
• not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email, phone, IP address); professional information (company and job title); internet or other network activity (browsing and interaction with the Site); approximate geolocation; and inferences drawn from the above about your interest in our services. Sources, purposes and recipients are described in Sections 1 to 3. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of sharing for advertising, email us at info@growthstackmedia.com. You can also block advertising cookies in your browser and manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of your permission. We will respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days).

Residents of other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws may have similar rights. Contact us using the details below, and if we deny your request you may appeal by replying to our response.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland. If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your personal information on these legal bases: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (responding to inquiries and scheduling calls); our legitimate interests in running and promoting our business (analytics, security and B2B outreach), balanced against your rights; your consent (non-essential cookies and certain marketing), which you can withdraw at any time; and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Our service providers may process data in the United States; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

8. Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Links to other websites

The Site links to third-party sites and services, such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Calendly and Portal Editor. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. If changes are significant, we will provide additional notice where required.
